Commuters in Kolkata experienced a disruption in their daily commute on Friday morning as the Kolkata Metro service came to a halt due to a technical fault. The interruption in services occurred between the Girish Park and Maidan metro stations, affecting a significant portion of the city's metro network.
Despite the disruption, partial services remained available during the incident. The metro continued to operate smoothly between Girish Park and Dakshineswar, as well as between Maidan and Kavi Subhash stations.
The technical fault led to delays and inconveniences for passengers during the morning hours. The interruption in metro service lasted until noon when normal operations resumed.
